When it comes to spring trends, designers have dropped the hemlines and created culottes, midis and other below the knee confections for us style mavens to play with. And although I plan to experiment with these longer silhouettes this season, today I am devoting a post to my ongoing love for the midi. Seen on the spring runways of Prabal Gurung, Chloe, Alexander Wang and Burberry, this staple has made a full comeback.
As many of you know, I have already shamelessly devoted much of my hard-earned cash and closet space to this trend. However, I still get excited when I see a fresh take on the classic silhouette. And the midi has definitely been given a playful makeover this spring, which is probably why I have became quite enamored with the dungaree-like confection that I am sporting in today’s style post. Not only is it perfect for layering (another fashion-related hobby of mine), but it also has pockets, and that is something else that I have grown to greatly appreciate over the years.
