New In. Best Foot Forward For Fall

It’s officially fall and I am sure that most of you style mavens are fortifying your wardrobes with pieces that will get you through the colder season in style. As many of you know, I usually start my seasonal list with a new pair of shoes, and this fall is no exception. When I am not wearing my favorite Rebecca Minkoff loafers or the oh so comfy brogues I recently added to my arsenal of footwear, I plan to don these simple, yet not so basic pair of black pumps. With all the print, texture and structured silhouettes, a simple black pair of pumps should be on the list of every fashion enthusiast.

Now, I must take a moment to reflect on the season’s best outerwear and the modern spin that heavy hitters like Louis Vuitton, Burberry, and The Row put on the classic cape. These shoulder-grazing confections went from dowdy to completely covetable with the use of bold patterns and a new way of styling. So whether you are enamored with the knee-skimming plaid pieces at Delpozo or want to get cozy in the blanket-like creations from the Salvatore Ferragamo collection, there is something for everyone to love this fall.

However, the cape isn’t the only trend being revived this season. Throwing it back to a time when mod prints, shift dresses and Mary Janes ruled the world, the 60’s are back and better than ever. Miu Miu added a touch of metallic to mini-dresses and Valentino incorporated a plunging neckline into one of his pop art designs. However, if you are like me and crave a more subtle approach to embracing the trend, then investing in a statement pair of cat eye sunglasses is always a viable way to partake without feeling like you have stepped too far back in time.

What are your must-have pieces for fall?

  1. I love planning my new season wardrobe, mine started back in July when I ordered a heavy coat. This is my favourite season and can’t wait for the temps to drop a bit more to snuggle up in all the beautiful knitwear around this season! Xx

  2. The shoes are amazing and I love the sunglasses.
My favourite trend this fall/winter is definitely the sixties style
that you have mentioned – I would love to buy a leopard coat. (:
