Have you heard? Spring is going to be a complete overload of bold colors, prints and embellishments that range from exaggerated, flamenco style ruffles to ornate, retro-inspired trimmings . As a minimalist, the idea of embracing these trends can be as daunting as it is exciting.
As a style maven, I am always looking to what is going on in the industry to not only get inspired, but also as a way to also freshen up my current wardrobe, while still staying true to my own personal style aesthetic. This journey for inspiration has lead me to spend several hours perusing some of my favorite sites and shops with the hope that I will find something that will get me into that spring state of mind. On the flip side of that though, all the print and sensory overload that is coming our way this spring has also led me to embrace my minimal style of dressing even more- I need to get some of this simplicity out of my system while I still can. This particular outfit is truly a representation of me clinging to that minimalist aesthetic that I so ardently believe in.
However, just because an ensemble is void of color, doesn’t mean that is it also void of personality. The sheer fabric paired with the neck and sleeve details make this blouse a true show-stopper. Plus, the hint of animal print on my heels reminds me that even the smallest touch of pattern can still go a very long way.
