What happens when you’re ready for a tropical vacation, but you’re currently stuck in a city with colder temps and partially cloudy skies?
You fake it by dressing for that tropical vacation.

Who says minimalism is dead?
For her pre-fall 2018 collection, Stella McCartney took a page from the Phoebe Philo playbook, and kept her ensembles minimal in styling. Besides an occasional pop of red, the color scheme of the entire collection hit a neutral note that was composed in an array of pastels.
However, even with a minimal approach in her color choices and styling, McCartney showed some serious range by cutting her dresses, trousers and outerwear in over-sized and interesting silhouettes.
Need a new coat option for that in-between season?
Pick up an ankle length option with a broad shoulder in baby pink.
I also swooned (maybe) a little too much over the white frock she created with a deep v-neck and lace up detailing, and went gaga for her blazer dress with zip detailing.
There were also some disco-inspired, little metallic numbers, and a few athleisure pieces that were constructed with lace- all of which made me excited for what fall will have to offer.
Bravo, McCartney! Your latest collection has me completely ready to Stellabrate the new season.
I know you readers see so many perfectly-placed coffee snaps on social media that they must all start to blend together, in your feed.
However, when my sleeves boast a satin bow detail that ties delicately at the wrists, I just can’t help but pair them with a soy latte for that ever-popular #fromabove shot.
Bow sleeves and lattes: two of my favorite things.
Sending out a caffeinated cheers to that!
Florals for summer?
Well, the idea isn’t exactly groundbreaking.
However, when you combine textured fabric with an ankle strap, you have something pretty extraordinary on your hands.
I’ve recently been studying these floral toe confections in their natural environment, and have come to realize that their true appeal comes from their ability to make the wearer go into uncontrollable fits of excitement.
I will be pairing mine with high-waisted jeans and a crisp button down for a chic, yet effortless look this spring.
How will you style your floral footwear this season?
Are the eyes really the window to one’s soul?
If so, I am baring mine for all to see.

During the winter months, I find I can rely on one style formula in times of doubt: black on black, on black.
